Its been a minute (or 3 weeks) since I provided a dopey update and ya'll thats because its been head down just get the miles in! Like literally nothing exciting or life changing that has happened with training these past 3 weeks and thats just kinda how marathon training goes sometimes, its head down log the miles.
So let's break down the last 3 weeks and what has been happening.
Week 4:

It was a cut back week but our first with a bump in week day mileage so instead of the 5 we had been doing on Wednesday we did 6! Monday was a nice active recovery workout with some stretching for runners, Tuesday we did 3, followed by the 6, Thursday 3, and then it was a nice weekend cut back, so Friday I got in an awesome leg workout, and then I flipped the Saturday and Sunday cross train and run because we decided to check out a new to us trail and have breakfast after! So Saturday I did a total body cross train workout (both Friday and Saturdays workouts are saved in a highlight on my instagram). Sunday we got an awesome 8 miles in where it felt like at one point I was literally in autopilot just cruising the trail, long behold I was and my pace was at a sub9 minute mile! I think it was knowing we were going to get the best breakfast after!
Week 5: Calling this the week I out ran my Hubby ;)
I guess this week was a fun week out of the 3, it started off with me bringing ya'll some simple easy rundisney outfit ideas (Catch the Reel Here ) the graphic below does an ok job at showing you what it was that I created :)

Monday, my booty was so sore from the leg workout I did Friday, and the gradual uphill for the first 4 miles on Sunday so we took time to really stretch it all back out! Tuesday we did 3, followed by 6 on Wednesday, 3 on Thursday and then a total body cross train on Friday! Saturday we did 5 miles at the lake and it was so hard! Something was off and to this day I still don't know what it was, maybe it was the average 9:25 pace we were doing or the fact that it felt like it should have been so much easier than it was but it started to make the nerves go with the 15 I knew coming on Sunday. Speaking of Sunday, it started off and I thought oh lord this is going to be a LONGGGGG run, we were at a sub10 pace but it felt like it was just a hair over walking, it took until mile 3 for that feeling to go away, I had my Gu at 4 and it brought me LIFE! I found my groove and my legs, and just went into a meditative state! At 8 I had a caffeinated GU and that carried me to 13 where I felt like I was going to finish the run so strong. While this is where I out ran my hubby (for the first time ever) he needed to stop and walk it out so we did for over half a mile and the pride and confidence I felt in myself was out of this world! We finished those 15 miles and ended the great run (for me) with a visit to the pumpkin patch with our niece, father in law, and sister in law! It was the perfect way to wrap up week 5!

Week 6: Reward Week!
Another cut back week and it was so boring!!! I struggled a lot with getting into runs this week and put them all off for so long. Monday was a foam roll out morning, with 3 on Tuesday, 6 on Wednesday, 3 on Thursday and 9 on Saturday. Tuesday was fine we got in got it done and went on with our day, Wednesday I put it off for 2 hours and then had to get it done or it wouldn't, I got 3 miles in and had to stop for a work thing that came up, then I went back to finish it, at 5.5 Charlie (again if you aren't following on the gram you are missing out) decided she wanted to jump on the treadmill screen (this is her new found pride) and she hit the speed preset button on the side to 11, it was a scary moment not realizing what she had done and what was happening but I was able to jump off and grab her and then get it back down to my normal 6mph speed to finish it off. Thursday I got my 3 logged and then Saturday it was to the trail for 9. The first 4.5 of it were ok, I mentally was not into it, I had my Gu at the turn around point and it helped get me into it. I finished out the run strong and feeling good, which meant one thing, REWARD! So to Target we went for my second $50 Disney gift card, and now I am dying to see some merch! Sunday we crossed trained with a triple A workout (arms abs, a**) and then took some time to self care with a good soak, stretching, theragun, face mask, a nice little tan and really took some time to appreciate all my body has done these past 6 weeks!

Now its on to week 7 and the first real big jump in mileage, we are going 4,7,4 for weekday runs and this weekend we got 6 and 16! Its uphill from here for the next 9 weeks and then we cruise those last 2 right into race weekend and I cant wait! 12 Mondays from now I will be a second time dopey finisher!
But until then lets keep logging the miles!
